New Disc Golf Map Released

LDSO member Zook_One has just released his new Disc Arena map, called Disc Golf of TRON.

It features a totally unique style of gameplay: where you try to hit targets with your disc, a bit like playing holes of golf or practicing in a shooting gallery. The idea is to beat your opponent to the end of each course, to win the match. There's also a "golf" driving course, where you can practice your disc sharp-shooting skills. And you may find a few surprises along the way, too? :) A very original and innovative map.

    This map is excellent Zook, I've had 48 individuals play since the official release a few das ago, for a custom map, that's impressive for a 3 year old game. This would make a excellent VR Tron experiment.

    Thanks for the info. Yes there has been a surprising number of downloads of the map through the various outlets: filefront, boxhat & ModDB. Makes me very happy! If the numbers of hours spent playing the map out ways the numbers of hours I spent creating it I'll consider it a great success.

    Maybe I can sell the concept as a Wii title?

    Zook, you certainly touched on a VR vein that clicks. I recall the older games which gave me the difficult to master feeling that is missing in the games lately. Tron Golf is a great test of skill!
    Source would be great, mapmakers like you, and the TCDG, deserve to potentiate your talent in such a cool game!
