TRON Evolution PC Multiplayer Map Pack #1 DLC Download
Took a break from modding TRON 2.0, to turn my attention to TRON Evolution for a moment.
If you bought the Retail DVD version of TRON Evolution for PC, it came with a code that let you download two additional Multiplayer maps for free. For some reason (in a typical display of Disney Interactive’s wisdom), these maps were not included with the Steam version of TRON Evolution.
GFWL (Games for Windows Live) still works, and you can play Multiplayer online with other players, no problem. But these maps can no longer be downloaded from GFWL via the code, even on the Retail DVD version. Great, huh?
Well, fret not. Since anyone who bought the game at release was entitled to these two maps for free, I have no qualms about making these available again. (Besides, without the game this DLC is pretty useless.)
TRON Evolution Multiplayer Map Pack #1 DLC Download
After you run the installer, you’ll have two additional Multiplayer maps in TRON Evolution. Codestream Nexus and User’s Plaza. This installer should work for either the Retail DVD or Steam version of the game.
I’d like to thank my pal Parallax Abstraction for helping me test the map installer. The maps showed up for him in-game, and we played a few matches. These maps did indeed seem to be working correctly in terms of game mechanics and scoring, as far as we could tell.
The only thing I’m definitely not certain about, is whether this installer will work for people who are playing TRON Evolution in a language other than English. It should work. But, I can’t 100% guarantee that. Everyone let me know if you have any issues with the installer.

I just finished installing Tron 2.0. and added all the apps and map packs. Such a great game, once you have everything modified to your liking.
I almost dove in and purchased the DLC pack directly from the in game GFWL app, which is around the 300 point mark (about 4.99 in price), but then I found Tronfaq's link. I'm not sure if by purchasing the DLC from Microsft, you get the Sam Flynn skin with it, or if it's just the additional maps. Actually, I'm not even certain the purchase would go through Games For Windows Live.
As far as enabling bots on the grid, it is highly unfortunate that we're only able to activate them in 2 derez maps and not the light cycle maps.
That never made sense to me.
One thing that's great about Tron 2.0, is that you can play the light cycle maps with multiple A.I.s
I'm hoping as Microsoft continues to integrate cross platforming, that some day, the grid on PC, will come to life again, as I'm seeing people who have Gold subscriptions, are downloading this game to their Xbox 360s/Ones for free and playing the online matches.
My son is only 4.5 btw and over the last 6 months has mastered all the moves in Evo. We play it a few times a week. I also blew $200 on Disney Infinity 2.0/3.0 and they are pulling the plug on it for PC next month! I'm beyond angry as we've only had it a little over a year and it included some really cool Tron content too. Being that it's ending Tron 2.0 will definitely be our next game. I'm trying to keep the violence aspects to a minimum. Disc battles and "ice cube" derezzing are about as mild as it gets I think.
Regarding bots: TRON Evolution had a very rushed development in order to make it in time, so it could be released simultaneously with the TRON Legacy movie sequel. Propaganda Games used the standard AI routines for bots that are included with Unreal engine, but would have had to enhance that for use with Light Cycles. This would've taken a lot of additional development time, which they didn't have. So as a consequence, bots are limited to being on-foot. Even the option to use 90 degree turns on the Light Cycles almost didn't make it in, and were a last-minute addition.
The Steam version's Multiplayer is the same as the Disc version. They're compatible. Disney just ripped the content from the TRON Evolution DVD disc for the Steam version, without making any significant changes. Right down to using the same outdated versions of GFWL and PhysX in the Steam release, that give everyone headaches when trying to install the game.
I gave Disney shit back in the day for how badly they treated TRON 2.0, but what they've done with Disney Infinity is even worse. Absolutely disgraceful.
Tronfaq, I want to thank you again for all the effort you put into helping make these games work. If it weren't for your help, I would never have enjoyed these games the way I can today.
Can anyone confirm if it's possible to play the DLC maps with bots?
I don't even mind if the bots can't use the light cycles.
Or is this still not possible and only two maps can be played with bots?
